Certificate II in Hospitality
This qualification reflects the role of individuals who use a defined and limited range of hospitality operational skills. They are involved in mainly routine and repetitive tasks using practical skills and basic industry knowledge and work under direct supervision.
Certificate III in Hospitality
This qualification provides a pathway to work in organisations such as restaurants, hotels, motels, clubs, pubs, cafes and coffee shops. It provides options for specialisation in areas such as accommodation services, food and beverage and gaming. The qualification also allows an outcome for small businesses requiring multi-skilled employees.
Certificate IV in Hospitality
The Certificate IV in Hospitality is the current industry standard for Hospitality within Australia. The qualification, or skills set derived from the units of competency within it, is suitable for Hospitality workers in a supervisory role or persons who have previous Hospitality experience but no formal qualifications.
Certificate III in Catering Operations
This qualification reflects the role of those individuals working in catering operations who use a range of cookery skills. They use discretion and judgement and have a sound knowledge of kitchen operations. They work with some independence and under limited supervision and may provide operational advice and support to team members.
Certificate IV in Catering Operations
This qualification reflects the role of those individuals working in catering operations who play a team leading or supervisory role. They operate independently or with limited guidance from others and use discretion to solve non-routine problems.
