CHC33015 Certificate III in Individual Support

This qualification reflects the role of workers in the community and/or residential setting who follow an individualised plan to provide person-centered support to people who may require support due to ageing, disability or some other reason.

 Work involves using discretion and judgment in relation to individual support as well as taking responsibility for own outputs. Workers have a range of factual, technical and procedural knowledge, as well as some theoretical knowledge of the concepts and practices required to provide person-centered support.

Entry Requirements

There are no pre-requisite entry requirements for this qualification. However, candidates must have a Unique Student Identifier and complete an LLN quiz upon entry.

A National Police Check is also required prior to participating in any work experience. (This course includes 120 hours of mandatory work experience)

Pathways

Qualifications that may be considered after successful completion include CHC43015 Certificate IV in Ageing Support or other relevant Certificate IV qualifications.

Course Content

The CHC33015 Certificate III in Individual Support is made up of 13 units of competency which consist of 7 core units and 6 elective units (Packaging Rules for the Ageing specialisation apply).

​Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL)

  • RPL is suitable for those that already have skills, knowledge, and experience and may not need to be trained and can provide evidence of competence.

  • RPL can be completed for all or part of a qualification.
